This Privacy Policy explains how Scraperize (“Scraperize”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website, dashboard, and API (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who we are

Scraperize provides an API that returns publicly available data from third-party platforms as structured JSON, along with a dashboard to manage accounts, API keys, credits, and usage. For questions about this policy or your data, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account information — your name and email address (obtained when you sign in through a third-party identity provider), and your team or organization details.
• Communications — messages you send us, including feedback submitted through the Service and emails to our support address.

Information we generate or collect automatically

• API and usage data — metadata about your requests, such as the endpoint called, timestamps, response status, credits consumed, and a unique request identifier. We use this to operate your dashboard, bill usage, prevent abuse, and provide support.
• Device and connection data — limited technical information such as IP address and user agent, processed for security, rate limiting, and fraud prevention.

Payment information

• Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Bachs. Your full card or bank details are entered with the provider and never reach or get stored on our servers. We retain only the limited references we need to record a purchase (for example, a transaction identifier and the plan and amount purchased).

Data returned by the Service

• The Service returns information that is already publicly available on third-party platforms. To serve repeat requests efficiently, results may be cached for a limited time. Caching is keyed to the request parameters, not to your identity, and reflects what is publicly visible at the source.

3. How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

• provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service;
• authenticate you and secure your account and API keys;
• meter usage, manage credits, and process payments;
• detect, prevent, and investigate abuse, fraud, and security incidents;
• respond to your requests and provide support;
• send you service and transactional messages (for example, team invitations and important notices);
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

4. Legal bases for processing

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on: performance of a contract (to provide the Service you sign up for); legitimate interests (to secure, maintain, and improve the Service, and to prevent abuse); consent (where required, such as certain cookies); and legal obligation (to meet regulatory and record-keeping requirements).

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:

• With service providers — we use trusted third-party providers to help us run the Service (for example, hosting, infrastructure, payments, email delivery, and error monitoring). They may process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services to us. Payments are handled by Bachs.
• For legal reasons — when required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Scraperize, our users, or others.

• With your direction — when you ask us to share information or make it public.

6. International transfers

We and our service providers may process and store information in countries other than yours. Where required, we take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for cross-border transfers.

7. Cookies

The dashboard uses first-party cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep you signed in (session and refresh tokens). The API itself is authenticated with an API key, not cookies. We may use limited, privacy-respecting analytics to understand and improve usage; where consent is required, we will ask for it.

8. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business or legal purposes. Raw request logs are retained for a limited window (approximately 30 days) for support and abuse prevention; aggregated usage counts are kept for billing and analytics. Account and billing records are retained while your account is active and thereafter as required by law. You may request deletion as described below.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, update, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; and to withdraw consent. If you are in a jurisdiction with such rights (for example, the EEA/UK under the GDPR, or California under the CCPA), you may exercise them by contacting [email protected]. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights, and we do not sell personal information.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted transport, scoped API keys shown only once, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your API keys and account credentials confidential.

11. Children’s privacy

The Service is not directed to children and is intended for users who can form a binding contract. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Third-party links and platforms

The Service returns data from, and may link to, third-party platforms and websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
