Terms of Service
Last updated September 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you (and any organization you represent, “you”) and Scraperize (“Scraperize”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of our website, dashboard, and API (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Eligibility & accounts
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it, and “you” includes that organization.
You are responsible for the information you provide, for maintaining the security of your account, and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly at [email protected] of any unauthorized use.
2. The Service
Scraperize provides an API that returns publicly available data from third-party platforms as structured JSON, together with a dashboard to manage API keys, credits, and usage. The Service, its features, and its endpoints may change, and we may add, modify, deprecate, or remove functionality over time.
3. API keys
Your API keys authenticate requests and are secret. You must keep them confidential, not embed them in client-side or public code, and not share them. You are responsible for all usage and charges associated with your keys. You can revoke a key at any time from your dashboard; we may revoke or rotate keys if we believe they have been compromised or misused.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to permit anyone to:
- use the Service in violation of any applicable law, regulation, or third party’s rights (including privacy, publicity, and intellectual-property rights);
- use the Service in a way that breaches the terms, policies, or technical restrictions of the platforms whose public data is requested;
- attempt to access, or use the Service to obtain, private, gated, authenticated, or otherwise non-public data;
- use the data to unlawfully profile, harass, discriminate against, or harm any individual;
- resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service as your own competing service without our written permission;
- interfere with, overburden, probe, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent usage limits, security, or authentication;
- reverse engineer or attempt to derive source code except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by law.
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate access for conduct we reasonably believe violates these Terms or harms the Service, other users, or third parties.
5. Your responsibility for data use
The Service returns information that is already publicly accessible at its source. You are solely responsible for how you collect, store, process, and use that data, including compliance with all applicable laws (such as data-protection and privacy laws) and with the terms of the source platforms. You represent that you have a lawful basis for your use of the data obtained through the Service.
6. Credits, plans & payment
The Service is billed using prepaid credits. A successful request consumes credits as described in the documentation; cache hits do not consume credits, and unsuccessful requests are not charged. Credits are purchased in one-time packs and do not expire.
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider, Bachs. By purchasing, you authorize the applicable charge and agree to the provider’s terms in addition to ours. Except where required by law or expressly stated by us, payments and credits are non-refundable. We may change prices and plans on a prospective basis, with notice where required.
7. Rate limits & availability
The Service may impose rate limits and other usage controls, which may change. We aim to keep the Service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and we may perform maintenance, impose limits, or suspend the Service as needed.
8. Intellectual property
As between you and us, we own all rights in the Service, including its software, design, and content (excluding data returned from third-party sources and content you provide). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. You retain any rights you have in the data you retrieve, subject to the rights of the underlying sources and your obligations under Section 5. Feedback you send us may be used without restriction or obligation to you.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example, for hosting, payments, email, and monitoring) and returns data from third-party platforms we do not control. Your use of those platforms and any third-party services is subject to their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY ENDPOINT WILL RETURN PARTICULAR DATA, OR THAT DATA WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE — THIRD-PARTY SOURCES CHANGE OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SCRAPERIZE AND ITS AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE (3) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Scraperize and its affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, your data use, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
13. Suspension & termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or others. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 8–12, and 14) will survive.
14. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Nigeria will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
